BUSINESS ACQUISITION

NOT AN EVENT, BUT A PROCESS

We prepare your company, find the right buyer, and guide you through the entire sale process.

Selling a business is not a single negotiation or contract signing. A successful business sale is a carefully structured process involving preparation, buyer search, negotiations, due diligence, and overseeing the transaction through to the final payment of the purchase price.

Papp & Son Consulting helps business owners not simply sell their company, but transfer their business under the best possible terms, at a realistic price, and through a secure and well-managed process.

Over the past 22 years, we have successfully participated in 101 business sales.

WHAT OUR CLIENT SAYS

“At first, all I knew was that I wanted to sell my company. But to whom, when, for how much, or even where to begin — I had no idea.

Then you came along. You were straightforward from the start. You explained that selling a business is a process, not an event, and that it could take as long as two or three years. I was skeptical, but I decided to go ahead.

What I noticed was that you kept showing up, doing the work, assessing the business, and providing me with a wealth of information — from understanding the true value of my company to practical insights I had never even heard of before.

Then, one day, you introduced the first potential buyer… I didn’t like them. Then came the second… and at that point, I still wasn’t entirely convinced.

Then, through you, that second candidate submitted an offer… a good offer.

The due diligence process began. They asked for an enormous amount of information, but you were there throughout, helping me every step of the way. Before I knew it, we were already negotiating the price and payment terms.

That was the hardest part. If you hadn’t been there, I’m certain I would have accepted 20% less. Fortunately, you didn’t let me.

A year and a half has passed, and I’m no longer the owner. It feels strange. Do I miss it? Maybe.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about hiring you again — this time to find me a business to buy…”

HOW WE WORK

  1. We conduct a thorough review of the company and then agree with the owner on a reasonable asking price.
  2. We prepare the company for sale (if necessary).
  3. We identify potential buyers and present the company to them.
  4. During negotiations with potential buyers, we represent our client’s interests and strive to achieve the best possible terms.
  5. Our work continues until our client has received the final installment of the purchase price.
